Farview Equity Partners invests in growth-oriented enterprise and financial technology companies in Europe. Founded in 2019 by a team of highly experienced professionals with sector-specific growth equity, operational and legal backgrounds, our mission is to empower European enterprise and financial technology companies to grow beyond their current horizons.
The European technology landscape has never been more attractive or dynamic. At the same time, it’s a fiercely competitive market where experience and expertise matter. We are passionate about technology, investing exclusively in:
• Software and SaaS
• Technology-enabled information and business services
• Financial technology
We make minority and control investments that range from €15 to €50 million of equity.
In addition to our capital, we also deliver our entire firm to every portfolio company, leveraging our deep network, extensive resources and pattern recognition of past successes to help create unfair advantages. With nearly 100 years of combined experience as investors, board members and operators, we speak the language of our portfolio companies and understand their challenges.
We are experts in growth, and we know what great looks like. Our promise is to do whatever we can to support our management teams on their journey to get there.
Partner and Co-founder
Guy co-founded Farview Equity Partners in 2019.
Guy began his career as a technology investor before moving into a series of executive roles as chief financial officer. He has enjoyed a particular focus on tech-enabled service businesses and more recently SaaS software platforms.
In his capacity as chief financial officer at both MACH and NewVoiceMedia, Guy worked as part of the respective leadership teams to deliver substantial change, securing both growth and efficiency objectives. Both MACH and NewVoiceMedia were headquartered in Europe with global operating footprints and were sold to US-based strategic acquirors.
Prior to his roles as a company executive, Guy spent 10 years at Warburg Pincus looking at technology related investment opportunities across Europe. He was involved with various portfolio situations including as a Board member of WNS (NYSE:WNS), MACH and Loyalty Management Group.
Guy started his career in the Communications, Media & Technology investment banking team at Goldman Sachs in London, and he has lived and worked in the UK, Continental Europe and most recently in the United States out of San Francisco.
Guy really enjoys getting to understand the broader strategy and operational set up of the businesses he is involved with. Thinking through not only the financial, but also the market-facing, technical, process and people elements that are so important to build success and ensure effective growth. If there are added complications like long-distance communication and cultural exchange involved as well, so much the better …
Guy received a BA in Modern History from Oxford University.
Outside of work, Guy is happiest when found on his bike or in some water, ideally exploring the cycling routes around the Brecon Beacons or the beaches of the Gower Peninsula with the active participation of his wife and three children.
Partner and Co-founder
Sam co-founded Farview Equity Partners in 2019.
Prior to joining Farview, Sam spent 18 years as a private equity M&A lawyer, most recently at leading international firm Weil Gotshal.
At Weil, Sam advised on many technology and financial technology transactions across the spectrum of deal sizes – from venture capital and growth equity to the largest leveraged buy-outs in the market. Sam has advised funds such as HgCapital, TCV, Oaktree, Advent, Bain Capital and General Atlantic.
Between 2012 and 2018, Sam worked alongside John on all of the deals that he executed at TCV. This included NewVoiceMedia where she also worked closely with Guy Sochovsky as CFO, particularly on the sale of NVM to Vonage.
Sam loves doing deals and negotiating ‘win-win’ outcomes. However, Sam believes that to do that effectively, it is really important to understand the detail of the business you are investing in and to build strong relationships with team that you are investing alongside. Sam is also passionate about mentoring and is actively involved in both formal and informal mentoring programmes.
Sam started her career at Lovells, where she trained and worked for five years. Sam attended Oxford University where she received a BA Jurisprudence.
When she is not working, Sam is a mum to four young boys. Sam loves being active (and is not very good at sitting still) and so spends most of her time outside with her husband and sons involved in watching or playing various sports. She also enjoys entertaining and relaxing with friends and trying to squeeze in time to read a good book.
